The most important factor in a SERVICE industry…

The following information you are about to receive is, far and away, the most valuable you will ever receive.  It’s also the most basic and therefore might seem too easy to believe. Oh, you’ll nod your head and agree it’s important, but if you don’t take it to heart the quality of your decisions and ultimately, your results will suffer.

Can you guess what it is?  Are you ready to find out?  Okay then, here it is.  The single most important factor in running a successful franchise, or development agency, or any other business for that matter, is…

Customer Service.  That’s right!  The success of your business is dependent on the quality of your customer service, and not just the service provided by your employees, but what you provide as well.  From the moment you get up until your head hits the pillow, customer service should be first and foremost on your agenda.

If you want better results than you are currently getting, you need to improve the quality of the service you are currently giving. It’s that simple.  You get what you give.  So, take care of your customers, and your customers will take care of you.

Sound too good to be true?  Sound too easy?  It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve been accused of oversimplifying, but that’s what I do.  I like to break down success into its most basic parts so they’re better understood and more successfully applied.

So, if you truly want to build sales, improve your customer service.  If you want to increase satisfaction ratings among franchisees in your area, improve your service to them.  If you want hard-working, more dependable, more loyal employees, improve the way you serve them.  If you want a better relationship with your spouse or children, be more attentive to their needs.

As Zig Ziglar always said, “You can have everything you want out of life if you’ll just help enough other people get what they want.”
