By "they" I'm assuming you're referring to the owners of the franchised store where your daughter works. I see a bigger issue than not paying for mandatory U of S courses. For me it's that your daughter continues to work for an employer that has not given her a raise in over two years. Your daughter needs to stop allowing herself to be treated like a doormat. She needs to go to her boss, ask what is required to earn a raise and, if she meets the requirements and doesn't receive the raise, have enough self-respect to quit and get a different job! If your daughter is under 18 you don't have to let her continue working there. If she is an adult, then you'll need to stop mothering her and mind your own business. Best of luck! cm Hi Kerrie,

Most of my other co workers arn't willing to do it yet becuase we feel we should be paid to do something that is mandatory. I like that you have given you employees raises to finish and prizes for completing the programs. I feel that is a very good way to get them to do it. In some ways you are still paying them to do it.
