It’s been nearly two weeks since I issued the University of Subway Course Challenge to my employees and they are off to a good start, with 315 courses completed so far (that’s an average of 8.75 courses per employee)! To date, five employees have completed both the Sandwich Artist and Senior Sandwich Artist Certification Courses (ahead of me) to win $20 and a raise of 25 cents per hour. Four more employees are hot on my trail, but will need to close fast if they want the win, as I only have five courses left to complete.
In the competition with my managers, progress is also being made, as five members of the management staff have already completed PIC level two. In addition, a few Mgrs. have jumped out ahead of me, working their way up the learning ladder. I’m not sure if it’s the one hundred bucks or the bragging rights they’re after, but they’ve certainly put me under some pressure at the moment… looks like I’ve got my work cut out for me.
