Great point Ryan!

The two kind of go hand in hand, don't they; knowing that things could be worse and feeling appreciative for where you are at the moment?

I like to call the "habit of expressing appreciation", as you put it, possessing an attitude of gratitude.

Shock value to this post ;)

I prefer to be thankful for what I have. Our vibrational escrow goes from here to Infinity. When appreciating what you have, you make room for good things to find they way to you.

So things could be worse, and they\'re also pretty good when you form the habit of expressing appreciation.

Neat insight :)

Very nicely put Coach - I too am someone who has in past years struggled with the words to describe who I am to others. The thing is, if I don't know who I am, (and especially that I am somebody) then others won't know how to treat me either. You're doing a good thing by sharing this idea... btw, I love the look of the new site.

Hi Vijay, thanks for your question.

To this day I'm not sure why he left. I wasn't suspicious of him at the time, so when he quit it came as a shock. My best guess is that he was stealing and feared getting caught.

Do you have a camera system in your store?

Good reading Coach.
Your manager left after you installed the camera, was it fear of getting caught for theft (cash or supplies) or lack of supervision which scared him to leave?

Thanks for your question Del. The 51% is including manager pay, so if you're an owner/operator you can add the manager pay to your profit. The actual percentage of the manager salary depends on the salary amount and the amount of sales the store brings in (it'll be different for every store). Once you figure the percentage just subtract it from 51% to get your unique profitability target.

Best of luck as you finalize your purchase!

I enjoy your blogs. I am in the process of purchasing of a store now and should close the deal this January. Question - you mention the 51% formula - is that for an absentee owner? what should it be in my case where I plan on replacing the current 40 hr/wk manager with myself? Thanks, Del Brown delbrown@roadrunner.com
